Bone defect filling

While many of the jaw-surgeon-y one(s) heal from alone after surgical interventions and traumatic events, a bone defect filling becomes necessary.

Different procedures are possibly:

- Gelantine, or little thrombin sponge, with or without proper blood drenched with afterwards writes sore shutter

- Use of membranes (mainly in the parodontal surgery (controlled bone regeneration))

- synthetic bone defect filling like Tricalciumphosphat-Granulat

differnt technologies of the augmentation with bone substitute materials of different origin (own bones) foreign bones etc.,

The surgical treatment today in most of cases will be done with the Er:YAG laser.
